PRU Teacher (Maternity Cover) A highly regarded Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) is seeking to appoint someone to cover Maternity Leave for one term ASAP. The PRU is in Surrey and is located only 25 mins by train from central London. The staff are friendly and very team focused in this unique learning environment. There are 16 students on the role split into two main classes across the Primary age range (Key Stage One and Two).

The right candidate would need to be strong and motivated. Experience with Special Needs and Behaviour Management is helpful but not essential. Good curriculum knowledge of the Primary years is very important. You would need to be able to provide diverse lessons for children with a range of abilities and implement these is a secure setting. There is normally 2-3 teachers working with each class group so team teaching and planning abilities are also important.
